BREAKTHROUGH JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS CONFERENCE HELPS GIRLS DISCOVER THEIR PART IN GOD’S STORY

STOUFFVILLE, Ontario — (CANADIAN CHRISTIAN NEWS SERVICE) — On April 29, 2017, Springvale church will host the third annual Breakthrough Junior High Girls Conference. This one-day event features mainstage speakers, breakout workshops, and a live band that are all aimed at helping Junior High girls to grow in their faith and learn how they fit into God’s story. The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and includes lunch and activities. Individual tickets are $30 and group tickets are $25 (10 or more), and can be purchased at www.breakthrough.yugta.ca.

With the purpose of encouraging junior high girls to understand their identity in Christ, several speakers will share through large group presentations and workshops. Speakers include Rosalia Alfonso, Bianca Armstrong, Paul Bartley, Geninne Bridge, Laura Bronson, Joni Champion, Jan and Laura D’Angelo, Marianne Deeks, Tim Huff, Monica Kay, Jenn Mikelait, Katrina Robert, Paul Robertson, and Alex Street. Students will have the opportunity to choose which workshops to attend, and the group as a whole will join in worship with the Breakthrough worship band. In addition to content for the girls, three workshops will be available for moms and youth leaders who brought girls to the conference.

“Breakthrough Junior High Girls Conference was created to give junior high girls an experience that teaches them they are significant in God’s Story,” says Marianne Deeks, founder of Breakthrough Junior High Girls Conference. “Girls hear many messages about their outward appearance, but we believe that is only a fraction of who they are. Hopefully, this conference will inspire girls to begin thinking they can make changes in their world.”

The first Breakthrough Junior High Girls Conference was held in 2015 at Springvale church in Stouffville, Ontario. Since then, hundreds of girls have been able to learn and grow in a welcoming atmosphere. The 2017 Breakthrough Junior High Conference is expected to be a unique, inspiring day for all in attendance.

Individual tickets are $30, group tickets are $25 (10 or more) and are available at www.breakthrough.yugta.ca.
