MULTI-ETHNIC CHRISTIAN MUSIC FESTIVAL COMING TO THE GTA

TORONTO, Ontario — (CANADIAN CHRISTIAN NEWS SERVICE) — A multi-ethnic Christian Music Festival for the GTA will be held on the concert stage at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto on Sunday afternoon, May 22, 2016 from noon to eight p.m. Everyone is welcome.

This musical celebration of freedom and faith will be led by youth rock bands and a diverse and multi-ethnic group of Christian musicians from a variety of GTA churches and cultures expressed in music, drama and the arts.

Headliners will be noted music celebrities: Fakhar Mushtaq; Rena Gaile; Celeste Zugee; Lorraine Harris and Ray Robinson.

The Festival celebrates and expresses our freedoms and unity as well as communicates in music the age-old message of God’s love for the people of the world. This multi-ethnic event will be a living illustration of defending and protecting religious freedoms both locally and globally.

Open Doors Canada, founded sixty years ago by Brother Andrew, known as “God’s Smuggler” is a major sponsor. It operates discreetly in restricted access countries serving and strengthening millions of persecuted Christians living out their lives on the front lines where faith costs the most.

Rev. Paul Johnson has been the Executive Director of Open Doors Canada for more than twenty-five years. He says, “This Christian Music Festival is an exciting way for a diverse group of multi-ethnic people to express our united faith and freedoms. I hope many will come to Nathan Phillips Square and take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience these talented musicians.”
