TORONTO, Ontario — (CANADIAN CHRISTIAN NEWS SERVICE) — The Canadian Bible Society, celebrating its 110th year of ministry in Canada, will embark on its next era of impact by introducing an efficient new model of regional representation.
“We are truly one of the original local, national, and global ministries in Canada. We will continue to build those pillars of strength, as we fill our mission to make God’s Word both accessible and available,” says Rev. Dr. Jonathan Dent, National Director of the Canadian Bible Society.
The national presence of the Canadian Bible Society will be reorganized into five Regions to create a more unified and cohesive presence, strengthening the ability of CBS to minister to every province and territory.
The five Regions will be British Columbia and Yukon; Prairies and North West Territories; Ontario and Nunavut; Quebec, and Atlantic.
Each Region will be led by a Regional Director supported by other national staff and volunteers. The existing District structure – a unique feature of CBS – will continue to flourish within this regional support.
To achieve these goals, the Canadian Bible Society will be making two significant hires in strategic leadership positions in the days ahead. The positions of Deputy National Director and Director of Development, Marketing, and Communications will enhance the senior management team.
The Deputy National Director will lead CBS’ regional operations and participate in the hiring of the new Regional Directors. For more information about these positions, please consult www.biblesociety.ca.
