Canadian Christian News Service Relaunches With New Ownership

Graf-Martin Communications Acquires & Relaunches Press Release Distribution Service to Better Serve Canadian Faith-Based Non-Profit Sector

WATERLOO, ON, April 21, 2022 – Canadian Christian News Service (CCNS) has relaunched after acquisition by leading non-profit public relations and communications agency Graf-Martin Communications. CCNS is Canada’s only news release distribution network designed specifically for the needs of faith-based, not-for-profit and media organizations.

The organizations we serve are doing such good work, and have so much newsworthy content – but nowhere to share it. Pairing this excellent content, with the deep experience and media relationships of our public relations team, made it a natural fit to invest in CCNS, to strengthen both media outlets and journalists and those who have good news that deserves a wide audience, ” says Ellen Graf-Martin, President of Graf-Martin Communications

Under the new ownership, CCNS will continue to steward the original vision for the service co-founded and led by Karen Stiller, Patricia Paddey and Shelley McLagan from 2014 to 2018. We are so pleased to learn that CCNS has found a new home, one that we trust will continue and expand the original vision we had—and that journalist Robert White furthered for CCNS—of delivering ‘good news to good places.’ We wish Graf-Martin much success now and into the future as they partner with Christian organizations to continue the CCNS legacy of faithfully sharing news widely and well to members of both Christian and mainstream media.”

Led by veteran journalist Robert White from 2018 until his passing in 2021, his widow Pamela White shares, “I’m so glad for Graf-Martin to acquire CCNS, this work that Robert also saw as a ministry. May God bless you in this venture.” Adds Graf-Martin, “we are grateful to be entrusted with carrying forward the CCNS vision and work of such respected Canadian journalists as Robert White, Patricia Paddey and Karen Stiller and communicators like Shelley McLagan.”

The expanded features and benefits of CCNS include:

  • Press release packages designed to meet organizational needs. A standard press release service (Edit and Enhance) serves organizations with an in-house communications team, while a supported option includes writing services (Start from Scratch) for teams that don’t have capacity or communications professionals on staff.
  • An exclusive opportunity to reach an ever-growing list of faith-based outlets, with an established relationship with the Graf-Martin public relations team. Releases will be distributed to radio, tv, newspapers, magazines and new media, as well as freelance journalists, and influential bloggers. Major mainstream outlets can be included for an additional charge.
  • Prominent display of an organization’s news on CCNS’ website and social media platforms.
  • Members-only training webinars, templates and resources (releasing late 2022.)
