Christian Music Festival Calls for An Outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Canada
Christafari and Asbury Worship Collective to Headline Free Festival in Heart of Toronto
TORONTO, Ont., May 16, 2023 – The Christian Music Festival is returning to Nathan Phillips Square for its eighth year on May 20, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The festival will feature a packed lineup of multi-genre artists and musicians from across Canada to celebrate faith, freedom and cultural diversity, including Asbury Worship Collective from Asbury University in Kentucky and Christafari.
“The Christian Music Festival is a highly-anticipated multicultural celebration of faith and freedom in Canada. It’s our hope that it would provide a platform for believers to come together to praise and worship the Lord,” said Molly Banerjei, Festival Co-Founder. “We are proud to showcase the incredible talent joining us this year, but this event is and always will be about Jesus. He is the true star of our festival.”
The community is encouraged to register in advance and invite family, friends and church groups to enjoy the music, dance, taste a variety of cuisines at the multicultural food festival and browse over twenty vendor booths. The Christian Music Festival enjoys the support of the local government and is pleased to be welcoming officials from different government levels to enjoy the music and connect with festival guests.
The Christian Music Festival will host a group prayer for those impacted by the Alberta wildfires. There will also be an opportunity to donate to financially support through the Salvation Army of Canada.
“The theme of this year’s festival is ‘revive us again’, and that is what we’re hoping for,” said Banerjei. “We’re asking the Holy Spirit to bring new life to His Body, the Church, and to us as individuals – to awaken and revive hearts for the Kingdom of God.”
Admission to the all-ages festival is free, made possible by festival presenters Jay and Molly Banerjei of Remax Realtron Realty Inc. and sponsored by the Canadian Bible Society.
