GMA Canada Announces 43rd Annual Covenant Award Recipients
WATERLOO, Ont., November 21, 2023 – Thirty-three Canadian artists, songwriters, and industry experts have been recognized by the Gospel Music Association of Canada members for excellence in Canadian Christian music. The 43rd annual Covenant Awards occurred on November 17 and 18, 2023, at Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church in Kitchener, ON.

“Congratulations to this year’s recipients and nominees,” said Jaylene Johnson, Vice President of GMA Canada. “The 43rd annual Covenant Awards was a great opportunity to gather our members from every corner of our country, to celebrate the Canadian Christian music industry and to showcase the diverse styles of music being created for the purpose of glorifying God and encouraging faith in Jesus Christ.”
In addition to the categories listed above, GMA Canada also presented The Graf-Martin Lifetime Achievement Award to Scott Jackson and the GMA Canada Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Trevor Payne. Scott Jackson and Dr. Trevor Payne are incredible champions of Christian and Gospel music in Canada, and these honours acknowledge their decades-long contributions and support.
