Joe Kirby Releases Powerful Debut Book: 100 Pure Thoughts
WATERLOO, ON – November 28, 2022 – Over the last seven years, Off The Kirb Ministries has reached over 1.15 million subscribers on YouTube. Sharing Christian motivational videos, street preaching content, encouragement in God’s grace and more, Joe Kirby hopes to help his viewers grow as a believer. In continuing his Evangelist-based ministry, Kirby is releasing its first book, 100 Pure Thoughts (CLC Publications), on November 15, 2022.
In 100 Pure Thoughts, you will find many illustrations, personal stories and Biblical bitesize lessons which Joe prayerfully hopes will bring purity and victory to the Christian entangled in repetitive sin. But above all, this devotional is Gospel-focused. Only Jesus can break these chains, sometimes gently with grace and other times he shatters the fetters with the words from His mouth. A balance of stern warnings and compassionate reminders of who the Son of God is.
“When I first became a Christian there was a big change in my life,” says Joe Kirby, Author of 100 Pure Thoughts. “Many sins that I loved lost their grip on me and I was able to give them up for Jesus. However, one sin continued to plague me – pornography. After many tears, much counsel and many hours studying the Scriptures I wanted to pass on the lessons or “thoughts” that God has given me on this subject. I hope that this book can be used as a tool to help others fight in this battle that most modern Christians have found themselves in.”
Each thought in his book begins with a Bible text, which is then applied to sexual sin and teaches readers how to overcome it. There are also many unique illustrations as every man’s mind is a picture gallery. Sexual sin is a visual sin, so therefore the best way to combat it is with visual illustrations and personal stories which engage the reader.
“I receive dozens of messages every month from Christians who are wrestling with lust and longing for freedom,” says Joe Kirby, Author of 100 Pure Thoughts. “My desire was to compile all the lessons God has taught me in this area of purity over the years into one book, to try and give hope to those who feel hopeless. We serve an amazing God who is able to deliver us from any besetting sin, and that’s the message of the book!”
