Canadian Media Veteran Pens New Book Offering a Fresh Perspective on Holiness

Karen Stiller to release ‘Holiness Here’ on April 9, 2024

WATERLOO, Ont., April 9, 2024 – Award-winning Canadian media journalist and author Karen Stiller invites readers to embark on a journey of spiritual growth, discipleship, and wisdom on April 9, 2024. Stiller’s newest release, Holiness Here, poses the question, “Is it really possible to live a holy life?” As a fellow pilgrim on the journey, Stiller presents holiness as a warm invitation to a new and better way to live, a calling for our lives found in Scripture, a search that marks the life of a Christian, and a most basic urge to live and love differently than ever before.

“Because we know ourselves so well, it can be hard to believe we are holy. We likely feel deeply that we are not holy, even though the Scriptures say we are,” says Stiller. “Holiness is a gift we receive, but also one we give back every day.”

Stiller explores holiness from a fresh perspective, moving from the importance of community and the role of the church to ways readers can cultivate a deeper relationship with God and live out their faith. Stiller explores how the fruits of the Spirit, money and work, hospitality, and humility all tie back to holiness.

Storytelling is one of the things that sets Stiller’s work apart from other works on holiness. She weaves spiritual reflections with storytelling and personal anecdotes to discuss and illustrate theological insights and concepts. Her creative, often nuanced approach allows readers to come to their own conclusions and make their own connections, charting a middle path between the popular contemporary emphasis on being accepted “just as we are” and a more traditional, legalistic emphasis on righteous living.

“We have been taught to accept our whole selves just as we are, which is an important message indeed. We need so much to know that we are loved by God and others just as we are. But we can get stuck there. We were never supposed to stay just as we are. We get to change. In that new place, we are loved still, just exactly as we are. The ever-loving God and the ever-changing us.”

Holiness Here is available for pre-order now and for purchase on April 9, 2024, from Amazon.ca and Nav Press. For more information visit karenstiller.com
