BURLINGTON, ONTARIO — (CANADIAN CHRISTIAN NEWS SERVICE) — Effective immediately, Rob Sheppard has been named General Manager, YES TV, announced today by Lorna Dueck, President & CEO, Crossroads Media Group (Crossroads), a leading broadcaster, distributor, and content producer of faith-based media.
Sheppard has been with Crossroads Television System Inc. (CTS TV)/YES TV in a programming management capacity since inception, and has been a key decision-maker in the development of the look and feel of the channel and its content. His responsibilities also included program acquisition and national market expansion. With the acquisition of its new programming lineup, Sheppard spearheaded the need for a change in branding from CTS TV to YES TV.
In this new role, Sheppard will focus on the sustainability and future of YES TV as a platform for delivering faith-based and family-oriented programming to the Canadian audience. While his role will shift from Program Director, he “…will still be involved in the acquisition of programming, with an emphasis on sustaining the great work that is YES TV into the future,” Sheppard said. “I will also focus on creating new strategic partnerships, and building upon current successes.”
With more than two decades of experience in the television industry, Sheppard has the bandwidth and depth of expertise to helm this organization and position it as relevant media for the next generation.
“We are fully confident that he will approach this leadership role with the same high level of commitment for YES TV’s aligned mission with Crossroads and valued position within the broadcasting landscape,” says Lorna Dueck, CEO, Crossroads Media Group. “Rob is a respected leader within our organizations and in the broadcast community, and we look forward to his continued influence to reach YES TV’s goals as the premiere broadcaster of family-friendly and inspirational television.”
As we end our second year rebranded as YES TV, we are consistently reaching over 3.69 million Canadians weekly.* That’s an improvement of 80% versus when we were branded as CTS TV.
