THE VOICE OF THE MARTYRS CANADA APPOINTS NEW CEO

STREETSVILLE, ON – The Board of Directors of The Voice of The Martyrs Canada (VOMC) has appointed Floyd A. Brobbel to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1st, 2019.

Floyd Brobbel began his full-time ministry with VOMC in June 2003 by serving as the Vice President of International Ministry and Operations. His former role involved monitoring areas of Christian persecution and developing international partnerships through which VOMC has been able to implement and carry out its vision and mission to bring practical yet strategic projects that assist persecuted Christians globally.

Klaas and Nellie Brobbel, parents of the mission’s newly appointed CEO, founded VOMC along with Rev. Richard Wurmbrand and his wife Sabina. As a result, Mr. Brobbel, having been shaped by the message of the persecuted church over the years, is committed to informing Canadian Christians on how they can bless those who are suffering for Christ and better understand what it means to share in their affliction.

The Chairman of VOMC’s Board of Directors, Peter Jardine, is confident that Mr. Brobbel’s new role will greatly benefit the mission. He summarizes their decision in the following statement:

“The Board of Directors praise God that Floyd is following in his parents’ footsteps and are also thankful for the experience he brings from interacting with our persecuted family and various international ministry partners directly. It is with eager anticipation that we look forward to the new things God has in store for VOMC under Floyd’s leadership as CEO.”

Mr. Brobbel has officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer as of July 1st, 2019. This change coincides with the transition of Doug McKenzie, who became the CEO in November 2012, to now utilize his expertise and skills as CEO Emeritus.

The Voice of the Martyrs is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to raising awareness and support for persecuted Christians around the world. Founded in 1971, its Canadian office works internationally in numerous countries within the continents of South America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
