LANGHAM PARTNERSHIP CANADA ANNOUNCES NEW NATIONAL DIRECTOR

Toronto, Ont. — (CANADIAN CHRISTIAN NEWS SERVICE) — The Board of Langham Partnership Canada is happy to announce the appointment of Steven Van Dyck as National Director, as of January, 2018. “Steven Van Dyck’s experience has shaped a passion to serve the Global Church,” says chair Peter Robinson.

Van Dyck is a chartered accountant with extensive Canadian and African professional experience. A graduate of the Th.M. program at Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, and an ordained minister with parish experience, he served most recently with SIM, teaching theology at Shalom University in Bunia, DR Congo.

“When Langham Canada invited me to head up the growing ministry in Canada, for the sake of biblically faithful pastoral formation throughout the Majority World, I recognized God affirming a call he already had impressed on me years earlier,” says Van Dyck. “What a great privilege it will be to work with the faithful supporters of Langham Canada, and to share Langham’s vision with Canada’s diverse Christian community.”

Langham Partnership is a global fellowship working in pursuit of the vision God entrusted to its founder, John Stott, to promote the growth of the church in maturity and Christlikeness through raising the standards of biblical preaching and teaching.

Langham Partnership works through three distinct but integrated ministries, Langham PreachingLangham Literature, and Langham Scholars, to help train and provide resources to pastors, church leaders, and theological educators. The desire is that the rich resources taken for granted in some parts of the world become available to believers everywhere, so that Christians can understand and apply the Scriptures and grow in Christlikeness.

Langham is an international movement of partners, including Canada, with a shared commitment to the Langham vision, mission and values.

“Langham International’s work in and for the Church in the Majority World is growing significantly,” says Robinson. “There are more opportunities all the time to be involved in and support this vital work of providing practical biblical resources, equipping preachers, and training new teachers and leaders for the Church. We are very excited that with a new national director, Langham Partnership Canada will be able to step up and take on a more significant role in supporting the work of Langham Partnership International around the world.”

The national Canadian headquarters will be in Toronto.
