Promise Keepers Canada marks 25 years of ministry with a new name and a new focus.
The new name is Impactus. The new focus includes a new website, impactus.org, and an increase in online resources to help equip men globally to live a life of purpose and godly impact.
“We now have the opportunity to reach generations of men around the world who primarily learn and interact online,” says Kirk Giles, President of Promise Keepers Canada | Impactus. “Our new website will be a powerful resource that addresses the challenges and questions men have. Our goal is to add new content every day to coach men in different areas of life.”
“The name Impactus will be used for any ministry efforts outside of Canada, while Promise Keepers Canada | Impactus will be used for ministry within Canada. With the full support of the Board of Directors, the new direction has been well received by the many long-time supporters of the ministry.”
Impactus is a Latin word that means to “press closely into something.” When men press closely into their walk with Jesus and allow Him to press into their lives, the godly impact on marriages, families, workplaces and communities is undeniable.
“We didn’t make this decision lightly,” says Giles. As a ministry, we’re convinced God is calling us to something new and more significant than we could have imagined 25 years ago. This has been years in the making, and we have seen him confirm this direction multiple times over the last few years.”
“We’ll continue to host conferences and workshops across Canada based on local health regulation guidelines. However, the shift to a digital strategy could not have come at a better time. Impactus will provide online live events, workshops, and small groups for men, along with videos, podcasts, articles and more,” says Giles. “We have many contributors who will develop relevant content to help men walk with Jesus and experience real life change.”
Promise Keepers Canada | Impactus will continue to minister first to the men of Canada, with the goal of reaching multiple generations of men around the world and partner with other countries to help men walk with Jesus.
