GUELPH, Ontario—Veteran journalist, Robert White, has now assumed the ownership of the Canadian Christian News Service (CCNS) from the founding partnership of Shelley McLagan, Patricia Paddey, and Karen Stiller.
CCNS will operate as a division of Quail Communications, White’s freelance company that has, covered the intersection of faith and Canadian culture for more than three decades. He’s had articles published in a variety of publications: Faith Today, Faith & Friends, ChristianWeek and The Edmonton Journal. His column “A Matter of Faith” ran for 22 years, starting in the Kelowna Daily Courier and then in the Guelph Mercury. He was also the editor of ChristianWeek Ontario from December 2002 to September 2011.
White also served as a Public Relations Representative for the Salvation Army, and two other administrative positions, both of which involved media and public relations responsibilities.
“My experiences as a journalist and a public relations professional have prepared me for my role with CCNS,” says White. “Being able to see things from both sides of the media relations fence will help with spreading the good news of CCNS clients to good places.”
McLagan, Paddey, and Stiller founded CCNS in 2013 to be a cost-effective, efficient, and reliable means of delivering the good news of Christian non-profit organizations to good places—that is, hundreds of Christian faith-based journalists, media producers, and media outlets.
